Introducing
ANOTHER GIANT LEAP
A NEW APPROACH TO THE FINAL FRONTIER.
When you’ve been a state that has been at the forefront of space exploration, you have a legacy to live up to. And a journey to continue. While the universe is expanding, so is our knowledge of it. Yet we’re still in the beginnings of understanding what’s out there. The Texas Space Institute is committed to knowing more about the great unknown and becoming a leader in the new space economy.
A leader in space
By leveraging Texas A&M’s existing expertise and resources, we’ll make new discoveries, technological innovations and health advances. And we’ll grow the Texas talent pool until it’s deep at both ends, further developing the workforce. Bringing together stakeholders from civilian, commercial and defense space, to become a leader in space.
With a trillion galaxies full of exoplanet’s, supernovas and black holes, it’s an endless adventure. And a never-ending quest for knowledge.
Our Mission
To ensure Texas remains a leader in space exploration by galvanizing support, resources and ideas. Using the full force of Texas A&M’s faculty to make us the global innovator for space.
OUR PURPOSE
Enhance communication internally across all Texas A&M System collaborators.
Serve as an external point of contact for the Texas Space Commission.
Engage universities, commercial entities, and government in space research.
Develop new facility in the Houston area, adjacent to Johnson Space Center.
Houston, we have an opportunity.
